These are some quick concept sketches for characters for a hospital I did a while back. The goal was to create two characters that would help remind doctors to observe proper safety/health procedure, such as, wear your head hand and foot protective coverings. I always preferred the stockier guys, but they preferred the lankier ones.

May 16, 2014New Yorker illustrations
May 16, 2014So a while back I partnered up with a friend of mine, Mark Johnson, who is a huge New Yorker fan. He came up with these three ideas, the deserted island, and the train conversation, and the idea for the dog piece. I completely misunderstood his direction for the dog piece, and did what you see here, which is completely different then he wanted, but it still turned out funny. We were going to submit these, but then found out just how absurd the process to get shown for the New Yorker is, so here they are for the blog!
Merry Xmas!
January 27, 2013I think its finally safe to post our annual xmas card. This year was suppose to be Heidis year, but I started to doodle around and thought it would be funny to have an alien abduction themed xmas card. She saw it and said we should roll with it so here it is! Oh by the way. We still havent send out 2/3rds of the physical cards, so dont be offended if you didnt get one! At this rate, we might never get them all out!
Animation Mentor!
April 11, 2012So in case y’all have wondered why I haven’t posted anything in a while, its because I am currently enrolled in Animation Mentor, an online animations school specializing in feature film animation. Its pretty exciting, and its really pushing my animation skills through the roof!
I figure telling the world is better than people coming here thinking I haven’t done any work in a while!
An early pose from an assignment meant to convey EXCITEMENT!
Happy Holidays!
January 10, 2012Our 2012 Xmas card should be well distributed by now, so its safe to ruin the surprise and unveil you this years design! Miraculously, this was actually completed with well enough time to be sent out before March, like last year. Happy late new year!
If it comes in a little dark, which most are saying, it is. For some reason when uploading it here to WordPress it comes in very dark, and you cant even make out the bricks in the background. If it is absurdly dark, this is a perfect time to recommend a GREAT product that all artists should at the least, consider. Its the Spyder 3. Basically its a neat little gadget meant for photographers, that you attach to your monitor and it basically reads the light in the room you are in, and translates that info to your computers color management. Simply put, it adjusts your color settings to the perfect settings based on where you are, all by it self.

January 5, 2012We are having a baby!
November 20, 2011If you didn’t know, my lovely wife Heidi is pregnant with our first child. At the same time, I needed something to animate, so why not reveal the gender of the baby with an animation!?
Its…a….?
